Site Director Denmark for ORANA Group

Reporting to the Board of Directors the Site Director will have an overall responsibility to manage and lead around 20 salaried employees and 40 hourly paid employees. The direct reporting factory management team consists of 5 department managers with matrix organization responsibilities. 

Key responsibilities for the Site Director are:

Daily operations:

·        Overseeing that production plans and company objectives are fulfilled. 

·        All aspects of the manufacturing process including scheduling and production planning.

·        Utilizing OEE and LEAN standard tools in optimizing workflows to maximize efficiency.

·        Resource allocation in line with cost budgets.

Compliance:

·        Ensuring compliance with external regulatory requirements.

·        Ensuring compliance with own standards, policies and procedures e.g. regarding food safety, health & safety, quality and sustainability.

·        Ensuring compliance with labor laws and other employee related regulations.

People: 

·        Engaging people through visible and communicative leadership – e.g. at daily lean board status meetings etc..

·        Work with the reporting managers to hire, train, supervise and motivate employees.

·        Fostering a positive and productive work environment. 

Projects and Continuous Improvement:

·        Develop and implement cost-saving strategies.

·        CAPEX-strategies and budgets.

·        Identifying areas for process optimization and implementing improvements.

·        Fostering a culture of innovation and best practice through structured work with plans and knowledge sharing.

This key role implies managing a complex operation with a major impact on service levels, product quality and financial performance. It is an exciting opportunity for a highly competent professional to assume complete site leadership responsibilities.

The position is based at the site in Rynkeby in Funen, Denmark. 

Profile

Besides a degree in engineering, manufacturing or a related field, you have a track record of +5 years in food manufacturing operations. This includes extensive experience managing production processes with responsibility for workforce management, budgets, quality control systems and compliance with regulations and standards.  

You possess excellent interpersonal skills and have obtained strong leadership and management competencies and the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

You are able to communicate seamlessly in Danish and English both in spoken and written form.
