Experienced R&D Manager for Pindstrup

You will be joining the highly experienced and collaborative Product Management and R&D Team consisting of 9 colleagues. The team is responsible for the close, daily support to the sales force and for developing future products.
As R&D Manager you will support the development of high-quality growing media with focus on developing the business of both the customers and the company. This involves defining, refining and testing both existing and new products and materials for use in horticulture globally. Your activities will include:
· Manage R&D activities through collaboration with test centers and through own trials at Pindstrup facilities and at customers.
· Implement relevant learnings by creating new product offerings.
· Help maintaining the R&D portfolio plan.
· Participation in relevant forums, e.g. within academia and organisations in the horticultural sector.
· Gathering of relevant inputs on developments and trends in the market.
· Collaboration across the Pindstrup Group and with customers worldwide.
The position is based at Pindstrup in Djursland, Denmark. However like most of the team working hybrid with home office a couple of days per week is possible. Travelling activity going to customers, conferences etc. on a regular basis should be expected.
Your background
You are an experienced R&D profile, preferably with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience within horticulture, and preferably with a focus on growing media. Most likely you hold a degree in Horticulture, Agronomy, Biology or within a related field.
You have a proven ability to successfully manage the process from new idea to marketable product and you are driven by providing valid solutions to the business through cooperation, prioritization and a drive for progression.
It is a prerequisite for success that you have a collaborative and business oriented mindset and that you are capable of building strong relations both with customers, other external partners and colleagues. Working in an international environment it is important that you have excellent communications skills, verbally and in writing in English.
