Danish Defense Acquisition and Logistics Organization (DALO) plans to tender an update of the Royal Danish Air Force (RDAF) AS550 FENNEC helicopter fleet. The fleet consists of 11 AS550 FENNEC helicopters.

The update is motivated by the following: The existing systems and components do not comply with EU regulation from end 2018 (EU regulation No 1207/2011 (surveillance) and EU regulation No 1079/2012 (voice)). Obsolete systems and components cannot be repaired and the existing systems and components do not live up to the operational requirements regarding image quality and cockpit workload on the operator. To make sure the tender reflects the possibilities in the market DALO request information with this RFI.

This Prior information notice is a Request For Information (RFI). This notice is not a tender.

The scope of the update is expected to be a complete solution for the Avionic and Electro Optical update of the RDAF AS550 FENNEC fleet. This includes:

— A new cockpit-design

— Installation of new systems and components

— Remove existing systems and components that become redundant

— Integration with remaining systems and components

— Factory Acceptance Test

— Technical Support

— Documentation

— Training of relevant DALO personnel

— A service contract.

DALO would like to stress that this is not a tender but a request for information. As a part of the preparation for the tender proceedings DALO might arrange technical dialogue meetings with companies that could of interest for the preparation of the tender.

the potential contractors are asked to give their opinion on commercial and technical matters. DALO would like
