Automation Engineer - PLC & SCADA

We are looking for an Automation Engineer to join our team in Lynge. Demand for our services is growing, and we are looking for a skilled colleague who can take part in designing, developing, and commissioning high-quality solutions for our customers. 

The role 

As an Automation Engineer at Init, you will be part of a project team delivering tailored automation solutions primarily for customers within life science. You will work on projects of different sizes and levels of complexity, and you may be involved throughout the full project lifecycle — from early customer dialogue and design to programming, testing and commissioning. 

Your main responsibilities will include: 

• Designing, specifying, programming, and implementing PLC and SCADA/HMI solutions  
• Troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning PLC, SCADA/HMI, and related equipment.
• Contributing to project documentation, control descriptions, test protocols, and procedures in line with project and quality requirements.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues, customers, and external partners to ensure successful project delivery.

Your skills and qualifications 

We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, enjoys solving technical challenges, and works well in a team. You have solid hands-on experience with PLC and SCADA systems and are motivated by creating automation solutions that improve customers’ operations. 

The ideal candidate has: 

• 3+ years of practical experience with PLC, SCADA/HMI and IT-systems
• Experience with PLC programming in Siemens TIA Portal/Step7  
• Experience with SCADA systems like Ignition, WinCC, iFIX, AVEVA/Wonderware, or similar.
• Experience with designing automation solutions and handling documentation.  
• Experience with projects within life science.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
