Our Automation team is a vital part of our organization, where we build hardware and software for our many different customer solutions. We focus on high quality, safe, and user-friendly design. Furthermore, the solutions we make need to be easy to maintain and operate for our Service department once the solutions have been handed over to our customers.
The position:
As Manager of our Automation department, you will be responsible for the further development of the department. It’s a demanding job, where you have to balance your skills, time, and effort between people development, standardization of solutions, globalization, customer focus, and day-to-day tasks.
The department consists of approximately, 25 employees, all with different skill sets on both the hardware and software side. We expect further growth in staffing going forward.
You will have a central role in defining and implementing processes successfully. Best-practice sharing and lessons-learned initiatives also need to be prioritized properly.
You will become part of the Equipment Division’s-, management team, where we align both short- and long-term goals and coordinate daily operations.
Responsibilities:
- Staff the projects with the needed resources.
- Secure planning for future staffing and find the right resources in due time
- Motivate your team and secure a high degree of responsibility for project goals (quality, timeline, and economy).
- Be the point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders.
- Communicate actively and constructively with the project managers to maintain an effective staffing plan, keep up the timeline and support the execution of projects.
- Work with our global set-up and international colleagues.
- Support our Service division when needed.
- Identify and cooperate with the right sub-suppliers.
Your profile:
We envisage that you have a degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience that has given you an understanding of hardware and software within Automation, PLC, and control systems.
- You have at least 8 years of professional experience in Automation in the machine-building industry.
- You have a proven track record as a manager.
- You have experience with project management
- You have experienced with working in a company with several nationalities and cultural backgrounds.
- The business language will be English, and you need to be fluent in both Danish and English
- You are a brilliant communicator and communicate in a clear and concise manner.
Structure and working systematically are important to you, but you also have a creative mind and are brilliant at getting new ideas. You understand how to convert your ideas into sustainable solutions that work in the real world. Your communication abilities are strong, and you have a solid commercial understanding. You contribute to an excellent atmosphere at the offices and consider helpfulness within the team as a preposition for high performance.
