About us
The preparation for the construction of the 18 km long Fehmarnbelt Tunnel between Rødbyhavn on Lolland and Puttgarden in Germany is progressing. Femern A/S is the company responsible for the planning, construction and operation of the Fehmarnbelt Tunnel. Femern A/S is a subsidiary company of the state-owned Sund & Bælt Group together with the Oresund Link and the Great Belt Link.

The job
You will become part of the Sustainability Execution and Monitoring department. Here you will take the lead in securing that the construction site keeps high HSE standards including that HSE coordination is always in or ahead of compliance. You will be the functional team lead of our HSE Colleagues each responsible for a specific contract, placed in Rødby, DK and Burg, Germany, and you will mainly spend your time securing that their monitoring is cross functionally aligned and carried out with the same ambitious mind set across all contracts.
Your main working place will be Rødbyhavn with weekly/bi-weekly trips to Copenhagen and Burg, and you will be working in close collaboration with the Project HSE Manager placed in Copenhagen.
Your key tasks will include:
- Secure coordination of best practise within HSE compliance with legislation and high HSE standards.
- Secure uniform proactive monitoring is carried out according to the Target Zero mind set within our Design- and build contracts.
- Keep governance and proactivity on best practises within HSE areas (eg. root cause analysis methods)
- Manage local HSE stakeholders on site in Rødby and in North Germany.
- Collaborate closely with the HSE Manager on compliance and strategy, so that you can carry out the implementation of our HSE projects, and contribute to the development and maintainance of internal HSE management plans and procedures in accordance with the form and structure of the Femern Management System (FMS)
- Contribute to the development and coordinate the execution of HSE campaigns in close collaboration with the HSE Manager, the HSE team in Rødby and the Femern Campaign Project Manager
Your profile
You hold a master degree or an equivalent academic background, like engineering, science or project management and monitoring, and you are trained within HSE certifications and proactive health and safety culture.
You have +5 years of experience within HSE from large organisations, and preferably +2 years of experience from large projects with contractors and high complexity in roles and responsibilities. You possess knowledge on working environment legislations, especially around the area of “The duties of the client organization” (Bekendtgørelse om bygherrens pligter).
